To qualify to become a DVSA Driving Instructor, you need to have held a full UK driving license for three and a half years and it should be free of any penalty points.

We offer one to one tuition only and do not teach two or more trainees at the same time. This means that our drivers get full value for money as well as proper, effective tuition. We can get you up to speed and work as quickly as you would like. You can become a driving instructor in no time!

You do not have to be in debt to qualify as an ADI through our Pay As You Go system.

How do I become a Driving Instructor?

Before you start the process you need to make sure you meet the below requirements:

• You must be 21 years old or over and have held a full UK Driving Licence for 3+ years
• You should not have been disqualified from driving in the last 4 years
• You should not have any more than 5 driving penalty points
• You must obtain a DBS check, formerly known as a CRB check

The qualifying examination is in three parts:
Part 1 – THEORY & HAZARD PERCEPTION TEST
Consists of a multiple-choice section and a video-based
hazard perception section

Part 2 – DRIVING ABILITY TEST
Consists of an eyesight test followed by a
practical test of driving ability

Part 3 – INSTRUCTIONAL ABILITY TEST
Consists of a practical test reviewing your ability to Instruct.
